ABOUT ARTHUR
Arthur Neis is a traditional artist and gardener. He enjoys mixing natural elements, such as pressed flowers from his garden, with colored pencil and pen drawings. He has a degree in Medieval Studies from the University of Notre Dame and is currently adapting and illustrating Gawain and the Green Knight. He has previously illustrated a children's book about Charlemagne's elephant.

Great meeting with our members and speaking artist Britt Samuels and visiting artist/business owner Mike of The Souland Lab. Fun, informative and artistically motivating!
CELEBRATING Black History Month
February 15th meeting Gallery tour
Guest speaker Britt Samuels will be guiding us through The Black History month Exhibit in
downtown Orange (if you can not make the meeting the gallery will be open all month please see poster for times)
We will meet at the Potting Shed our regular location at 4:30 (prompt) and walk over to the gallery as a group. As an added bonus we will be touring the SOUNDLAB art storefront after the gallery tour. Meet us for the fun!
The Fall Into Art Artwalk was so much fun, there were 1000 passports picked up by the visitors from the Potting Shed by Carlisle. The afternoon was surrounded by smiling faces, laughs and good times by all in attendance. It was a great way to display art, meet the artists and have the community interact with all the amazing businesses that participated.

Michelle was the winning recipient of our beautiful Taste of Orange gift basket, which was full of prizes like gift cards for dinning in Orange, as well as some fun items to decorate the home in full Orange fashion. Special Thanks goes to our donors:

Tina Leigh believes creating the art council is a way to bring like minded individuals and organizations together to spark creative fires in all of us. She is very excited to share art ideas and opportunities with fellow artists and the community.
She has been involved with art for pretty much her entire
life. She has been lucky enough to be surrounded by artists
and musicians that have encouraged her to explore her creativity, she has been creating and passing it on ever since.
She is a UCI grad and holds a degree in Art and Psychology, and both a Masters in Education and in Science. She has been teaching art, digital media & technology for 25 years at high school and college levels. She has been formally trained as well as self taught in various art
related areas.
Tina aspires to the idea of giving back, volunteering, teaching, sharing promoting art, artists and
constantly creating.

Through Soulland Lab, he is weaving a tight-knit community dedicated to creativity, compassion, and connection a place where every stroke of a paintbrush is a step toward a stronger, brighter Orange County and beyond.
Mercedes is a Westminster High alumni and devoted dog mom. With a heart as sweet as her love for coffee, she's a true enthusiast of life's simple pleasures. Tina Leigh Heiland, Local artist, OAC Chair, business owner, juror and teacher is working on an ongoing digital media project with OYC students that will showcase their summer program and be featured in their end of the
year talent competition.
